Hayward, Don

Don Hayward Hayward Don

Don Hayward is the author of the non-mystery novels, After the Last Day and The Seventh Path. He grew up at a hydro-electric generating site on the Spanish River, surrounded by the natural world of the Canadian Shield hard rock country. Don was six years old when he took his first train trip from Turbine to Espanola Ontario behind a steam locomotive much like the “Pacific” in Murder On the Goderich Local. His love of trains came as a little boy riding with the local delivery man to meet the milk and mail train, all in the steam era. He has crossed both Canada and Australia by train, ridden the old narrow gauge “Ghan” to Alice Springs in Australia and the “Polar Bear Express” in northern Ontario Canada. Don and his wife Diane have five children and fourteen grandchildren. They now live in Goderich Ontario on Lake Huron. Aside from Murder on the Goderich Local, Don has published the novels below.
