Pam Barnsley

Pam Barnsley is a former newspaper reporter and snowboard instructor whose work has appeared in magazines, ad copy, and on CBC television and radio. Harbour Publishing published her non-fiction book, Hiking Trails of the Sunshine Coast. She has recently completed her first mystery novel, This Cage of Bones, set in Whistler in the world of Paralympic athletes, whitewater kayakers, and mountain bikers.

When a Paralympian’s fianc, is murdered, in order to catch the killer Sergeant Claire Mayne must fight her own terminally ill father, her First Nations lover who thinks she’s racist, and Jenna Garrett, the former stripper-turned-ski racer who lost her leg. As the killer’s motives unravel, both Claire and Jenna face heart-breaking and dangerous decisions that will change their lives forever.

Pam is now toiling on the next in the series, Bed of Lies. Her stories and poetry have won awards, but alas, her cooking and singing never do.
