David A. Gibb

David A. Gibb is a respected investigative consultant and journalist, with a knack for uncovering the truth. His life as a private investigator for 25 years involved many fascinating exploits. During his esteemed career, he found over 4,400 missing people, plunged himself deep undercover (including within a religious cult and a satanic organization), investigated serious and complex crimes, exposed fraudulent activities, provided testimony at criminal trials as an expert witness, and provided VIP security to the rich and famous. His diligent efforts and relentless pursuit of the truth were rewarded with a 94% investigative success rate – and earned him the admiration and respect of his peers.

Mr. Gibb, a Dean’s Honor List graduate of the Law Enforcement program at Seneca College in Toronto (who honored him with an Alumni Entrepreneurial Award in 2005) also enjoyed engaging students as a professor on the Law and Security faculties of both Sheridan and Clarke College where he developed and instructed courses in Criminology, Psychology, Sociology, Forensics, Criminal Offences, Security, Effective Presentation Skills, and Abnormal Psychology.

An accomplished public speaker, Mr. Gibb also ran a series of very successful training seminars for entry-level investigators, and has been a sought-after guest speaker on several live-radio programs – on topics ranging from adoption laws to missing children.

During his years as an investigator, Mr. Gibb was featured in numerous newspaper and magazine articles, and appeared on several television talk shows and news broadcasts – including three appearances on Shirley (Canada's answer to Oprah), Canada AM, Global News, Heartbeat, and Canada's Missing Children.

For the past four years, Mr. Gibb has worked as a freelance writer. His articles have been published in national newspapers and magazines, including The Globe and Mail (Canada’s national newspaper), The Toronto Star, The Toronto Sun, Airforce Magazine, General Aviation News, Forever Young, as well as various online eZines and blogs. He is also an accomplished photographer, with many of his photographs appearing in print – including several page one features in the EMC Newspaper.

Since 2007, Mr. Gibb has been a regular contributor and field reporter for Shield Media/EMC Newspaper in Belleville. He has written articles on news, current events, arts, entertainment, sports, profiles, travel, and local events.

While working as both an investigator and journalist, Mr. Gibb has made great achievements in the craft of interviewing. He has used his skills not only to develop important information and leads, but also to obtain admissions and confessions from guilty parties.

He is a member in good standing with the Professional Writers Association of Canada (PWAC), Crime Writers Canada (CWC), and the Council of Private Investigators – Ontario

David is currently in negotiations with a major U.S. publisher that wishes to publish his first true crime book.
