Dayle Gaetz
Dayle Gaetz has worked as a literacy teacher, creative writing instructor, book editor, and for several years wrote a Community Arts newspaper column. She is the author of 20 published books for young adults. Her most recent books for teens include three “high-interest, low-vocabulary” novels with riveting plots that hold the interest of struggling readers and help give them the confidence they need to continue reading and improve their literacy skills.
After researching and writing two YA historical novels set in 1860’s British Columbia, Dayle wrote the mystery novel Mystery from History, in which three young sleuths solve a real “cold case” bank robbery that occurred in Victoria in 1862. These same intrepid characters go on to solve mysteries in the gold rush town of Barkerville, B.C., on a ranch in Alberta, and from there to a struggling farm in Saskatchewan.
Lately Dayle has turned her attention to writing novels for adults. Her first is Woman in the Glass, a fast-paced mystery/suspense focusing on domestic abuse.
