Missionary Cay
After five years of widowhood, Sheila Woods decides it's time to move on. She rents a house in The Bahamas on Missionary Cay in the tiny fishing village of Rocky Point. Here she becomes friends with Virginia Robers. She learns that the community has its own version of the comandments and that they ought not to be ignored.
When Sheila discovers her friend's body with a knife embedded in her chest, she cannot accept the local constable's view that it is a suicide.  Sheila embarks on a mission to solve the crime, a journey that leads to her exclusion and eventual expulsion from the community.  From this experience of living in an unfamiliar culture she recognizes that her values do not coincide with the view of the locals which brings her into a new awareness of  herself and her identity.
