Grant McKenzie
A Scots-born writer living on the west coast of Canada, Grant’s debut novel, Switch, will be published in trade paperback by Penguin Canada on Aug. 3, 2010.
Switchwas recently launched to rave reviews in the U.K., Germany, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. It will also be published soon in Taiwan.
Grant’s short stories have been featured in Out of the Gutter and Spinetingler magazines. A new, original story will appear in the anthology First Thrills being edited by NY Times bestselling author Lee Child and published by TOR in the summer of 2010.
Grant’s first screenplay won a fellowship at the Praxis Centre for Screenwriting in Vancouver, B.C.
As a journalist, Grant began his career on the late-night “Dead Body Beat” at the Calgary Sun, and later worked as a senior copy/design editor at the Calgary Herald and Vancouver Sun. In between regular newspaper gigs, he has also contributed technology/humour columns to various magazines around the world. Grant currently resides on British Columbia’s beautiful Sunshine Coast with his wife and daughter.
