Joan BoswellJoan Boswell

Joan Boswell, a new resident of Toronto, continues as a member of the Ottawa Ladies' Killing Circle. After completing a PhD in history, she happily tossed aside all the restrictions of academic writing and made the transition to fiction. Given her obsession with the computer, she manages to find time for family, travel, golf, quilt-making, painting, and walking her flat-coated retriever.

She has contributed to four Ladies' Killing Circle anthologies: The Ladies' Killing Circle, Cottage Country Killers, Menopause Is Murder, and most recently, in November 2001, she co-edited Fit To Die. Her work has appeared in magazines and anthologies in Canada and the US. In 2000, her mystery story "Toby, Toby Came Today" won the $10,000 first prize in The Toronto Sunday Star Short Story contest.
