Roy InnesRoy Innes

Roy Innes was born in Regina, SK, but grew up in Victoria, BC, where he went to high school and college and then over to University of British Columbia for his MD and ultimately FRCSC specializing in eye surgery. After 30 plus years of private and academic practice, he retired to Gabriola Island where he rekindled a love for creative writing. Accepted by the Humber School for Writers, he completed a one-year course with mentor Olive Senior, who encouraged him to submit for publication the mystery novel he wrote over that period.

Murder in the Monashees, published by NeWest Press, was released in spring 2005.

Aside from crime novels, his passions include off-roading in his '82 Toyota Land Cruiser (hunting expeditions) and motorcycle touring on his 1990 BMW K100 cruiser.
