I have had a passion for writing most of my life. Things got in the way but my kids have now grown up and they don’t want to hang around with dad anymore. Recently I became an associate member of the Crime Writers of Canada. I am hoping to team up with a mentor in the crime mafia series of writing.

At the present time my first novel is in transition and I am 2/3rds of the way to completion of a first draft. Here’s what it’s about:

In an epic sory about love, hatred, and revenge, Don Antonio Pileggi, a farmer in southern Palermo Italy seeks greener pastures in America. His rapid rise to fame and prosperity was not welcomed by the other 4 Mob families of New York City.

Vito, his nephew is thrown into the lion's den to avenge his Uncle's murder and subsequently takes over his entire empire. He has other problems to face.  His daughter who’s stricken with Leukemia must search for a bone marrow transplant donor. The donor ends up being his brother who is gay, living in Vancouver and wants to get married.

How does one break the news to a Mob Italian family that he wants to get married, albeit not in a conventional relationship?
