Bill Prentice 1952-2022
For thirty years, Bill worked as a freelance writer. Starting with television scripts and segueing into policy papers and international finance, it was as if he was always meant to write a critically acclaimed financial thriller and become the Treasurer of Crime Writers of Canada. He certainly made a home for himself with CWC.
Bill entered hospital unexpectedly, and passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 12, surrounded by family.
Bill’s wife, Sandra, wanted everyone who knew him at CWC to know that, “His connection and involvement with its community meant a great deal to him.”
Bill was well respected for his generosity of spirit, and will be remembered fondly for his skills, his gentle sense of humour, and his unfailing imperturbability.
